Rajpal Education Trust

The Rajpal Education Trust was established on 1st April 1965 under the aegis of the publishing house Rajpal and Sons, with the objective of providing financial support to individuals and institutions working in the education and public health sectors.

Every year, the Trust gives 40 scholarships to school and college students. These scholarships help ensure that the students, whose parents may otherwise find it difficult to pay for their education, are able to pursue their studies without financial worry. The scholarship covers the tuition fees and cost of books and stationery needed by the students.

To help meet the educational expenses of visually-impaired students from the economically weaker sections of the society, the Trust provides annual grants to government-recognized institutions like the National Association of the Blind. The qualification criteria for receiving these annual grants are extremely stringent and only organizations and institutions with a proven track record of over 7 years can qualify.

Shaheed Rajpal DAV Public School, named after the founder of Rajpal & Sons, is ranked amongst the top schools in Delhi. The Trust supports the school in its pursuit of providing wholesome education through scholarships, grants and awards for teachers and students. In the area of health, every year the Trust sponsors free cataract surgeries for 300 people who do not have the financial capacity to pay for this medical procedure on their own. These eye camps are administered and managed using the infrastructure and doctors of government recognized health care facilities in Delhi.
